Crisp Cocoa-Pecan Cookies

  1. sift together
    • 1 1/3 c. flour
    • 3 T. cocoa
    • 1/2 t. b.s.
  2. cream
    • 10 T. (3/4 c.) butter
    • 1/3 c. brown sugar
    • 1/3 c. sugar
    • 2 T. plus 2 t. light corn syrup
    • 2 T. milk
    • 1 t. vanilla
  3. mix in flour mixture
  4. stir in
    • 1/2 c. chocolate chips
    • 1 c. nuts
  5. cover and chill for at least 4 hours
  6. preheat oven to 350º
  7. place in mounds on ungreased cookie sheet
  8. bake 9-13 minutes
  • prep: 20 minutes
  • total prep time: 5 hours (includes chilling time)
  • yield: 16 cookies

Crisp Cocoa-Pecan Cookies



einstein bagels
  1. mix together
    • 2 c. warm water
    • 1 T. yeast
  2. knead in
    • 3 T. corn syrup
    • 2 T. molasses
    • 1 t. oil
    • 2 t. salt
    • 4-5 c. flour
  3. shape into bagels, adding
    • cinnamon sugar
    • jalepeno slices/red pepper flakes
    • garlic
    • chopped onions/poppy seeds
    • cheese
  4. allow to rise
  5. boil
    • water
    • 2 T. sugar
  6. drop bagels in water
  7. flip after 20 seconds
  8. bake 30 minutes on cookie sheet with cornmeal
  • yield: 8 large bagels


baked french toast

  1. preheat oven to 350°
  2. butter a camp pan
  3. arrange in the pan
    • 1 lb. sliced french bread
  4. beat together
    • 8 eggs
    • 2 t. vanilla
    • ¼ t. cinnamon
    • 1 ½ c. milk
  5. pour mixture over bread
  6. heat until boiling
    • 3/4 c. butter
    • 1 1/3 c. brown sugar
    • 3 T. corn syrup
  7. bake in oven 20 minutes


peanut butter cookies

  1. mix
    • 1 1/2 c. flour
    • 1/2 t. baking soda
    • 1/2 t. salt
  2. in seperate bowl, beat
    • 1 c. peanut butter
    • 1/2 c. butter
    • 3/4 c. sugar
    • 3/4 c. brown sugar
    • 1 T. corn syrup
  3. mix in
    • 1 egg
  4. stir in dry ingredients
  5. bake 12 minutes
